How’s it going?

I want to introduce myself and let you know a little bit about this column.

One day Dr. Z and I were brainstorming ways to improve our web site. Our wonderful assistant Arline came up with the brilliant idea of reaching out to you guys.

We agreed that there is not a lot of information out there directed to teens and pre-teens, talking about the things that are going on with their bodies.

Sometimes it’s tough (or just plain embarrassing) to talk about this stuff with your Mom and Dad (the 'rents,) and believe it or not your friends usually don’t know as much as they think they do!

Of course, we think that you should always go to your mom, or mom-type-person for this kind of stuff. If however you find it difficult to talk about these things, we decided that we wanted to create a place where you can ask your questions... and know that you are getting the right answers!

We will be running this column every week on our website. We are going to write about some topics that we think might be interesting to you…but we need your help. We hope that you will take a few minutes to fill out this form, and give us some ideas, ask some questions, or just let us know what you want to know.

We will not be answering your questions directly, but we will try to cover all of the topics that you ask about. (If you have a serious problem, ask your 'rent to make an appointment for you to come in so we can check it out.)

The form has a space for your name, but you don’t have to fill it in if you don’t want to. We don’t want you to feel embarrassed, or hesitant about talking to us, we just want you to have a place to talk.

So c'mon, cough it up…what do you want to know?
